The video features automated logistics solutions developed in partnership with Krifft & Zipsner, a global leader in conveyor systems and material handling technology with more than 25 years of experience.
The walkthrough focuses on automation that manages pallet changes at both the feeder and delivery without interrupting production. By eliminating the need for manual pallet exchanges or speed reductions, these solutions help presses maintain consistent output while reducing operator fatigue and improving overall safety.
In packaging and commercial print applications, especially those running heavy substrates at high speeds, pallet changes occur frequently. Komori’s integrated material handling systems address this challenge by enabling automated pallet exchanges while the press continues running at full speed.
The video demonstrates how feeder automation detects when a pallet is nearing its change point and initiates a fully automated exchange. At the delivery, automated pile changes allow printed sheets to continue flowing uninterrupted as full pallets are replaced.
By combining Komori press technology with Krifft & Zipsner’s material handling expertise, these solutions support smaller press crews, increase net sheets produced per shift, and prepare operations for future automation upgrades.
