Komori Supports the 60th PICA Awards and the Next Generation of Print

Komori America was proud to support the 60th PICA Awards, continuing its long-standing commitment to regional print associations and the print communities they serve.

Held in the Carolinas, the PICA Awards recognize excellence in print while celebrating the people and companies driving the industry forward. As part of this year’s event, Komori sponsored the Best Booklet Award, highlighting outstanding craftsmanship and production quality.

Representing Komori America, Jeff Sammons, District Sales Manager, presented the award during the ceremony. In his remarks, Sammons emphasized Komori’s deep connection to the industry:

“Komori is proud and honored to continue its support of PICA in the dynamic print industry here in the Carolinas. Komori is celebrating our 102nd year in business this year, and like many of your companies, we are also family owned and operated.”

He continued by highlighting a unique parallel between Komori and many of the companies in attendance:

“As I travel around meeting with printing companies, I’m consistently inspired by second- and third-generation family members, along with a growing group of emerging leaders who are helping shape the future of our industry.”

The finalists for the Komori Best Booklet Award included Indexx, Inc., Loftin & Company Printers, Print Management Group, and Sun Solutions. The award was presented to Loftin & Company Printers, recognizing their exceptional work in booklet production.

The event brought together approximately 225 attendees and showcased a defining characteristic of the print industry in the United States: the strength of family-owned, multi-generation businesses. Many of the companies recognized throughout the evening were led by second-, third-, and even fourth-generation owners, reinforcing the long-term commitment and resilience that define print.

Equally important was PICA’s continued focus on developing future talent. Through its emerging leaders initiatives and scholarship programs, the organization is helping attract and support the next generation entering the industry, ensuring that print continues to evolve and grow.

For Komori, supporting organizations like PICA is about more than sponsorship. It reflects a shared commitment to the people, businesses, and communities that sustain the industry.

Komori America looks forward to continuing its support of PICA and similar regional associations that play a vital role in promoting print excellence and investing in the future of the industry.

At Komori, you can count on us.
